Instrutions:

  • Choose your style/filling (southwest, Asian, veggie, shrimp, steak & cheese (vegan for me), the sky is the limit!)
  • If adding protein cook your protein, chop it up, & set aside! (Shrimp, chicken, steak, salmon, etc.)
  • Sautee your choice of veggies, remove from heat & let cool for about 10 minutes (if too hot will break your egg roll wrappers) Note: season however you like depdning on what style your doing
  • Combine protein & filling mixture
  • Once cool start filling egg rolls (Follow instructions on back of egg roll packaging for how to fill & roll
  • Once rolling complete fry it OR air fry it! Note: both ways are good, but frying in cast iron or fryer will give you more of that restaurant style egg roll we all love, but if you want a healthier option air fry it!)

Pan fry:

  • Use avocado or grapeseed oil to fill pan so bottom is covered with oil & heat for about 5 minutes on medium heat
  • Heat oil in pan on medium high heat (be careful not to set too high or else egg rolls may cook too fast)
  • Once heated, add egg rolls to oil & fry on each side until brown (about 2-3 minutes typically, as oil continues to eat cook time will shorten)
  • Remove from pan & place on plate covered with napkin to remove excess oil

Air Frying:

  • Set fryer to 400 degrees
  • If using air fryer I brush lightly with grapeseed oil so rolls brown nicely
  • Fry on 400 about
  • Cook 8-10 minutes, flippng in between,
  • If not browned enough cook longer & brush with more grapeseed oil if need be to help browning)
