Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon filets
  • 1 Tbsp slap ya mama
  • 1tsp smoked paprika
  • 1tsp lemon pepper
  • Grapeseed oil

Note: Use whatever seasonings you personally like! These are some of my go-tos but I switch it up literally every time! (alternate suggestions/additions: jerk, garlic & herb, garlic powder just make sure your fish is well coated)

Tip: My cooking cousin gave me a tip to help stop the protein (white stuff) from seeping out of your salmon while cooking. She said to brine your salmon in salt water for about 15-20 minutes. Use coarse salt to control the salt level on your fish.

Instructions

  • Set oven to broil on high (I usually do 500 degrees if you have a numeric broiler )
  • Place filets on baking sheet
  • Lightly brush filets with grapeseed oil
  • Mix dry ingredients together & sprinkle evenly on filets
  • Broil on high at 500 for 8-10 minutes (depending on your desired temperature, shorten if need be)

Barbecue it

  • Remove salmon just shy of cooking time
  • Brush with your choice of barbecue sauce
  • Place back into oven & broil for about 2-3 more minutes
